All themes need to be configured according to their instructions prior to publishing.  If you are using the default theme here, which is Photo Workshop, be sure to read the theme instructions to understand how things work.  Because your theme is already installed (we did that for you) you can proceed to the sections about configuration.  Theme instructions are typically found in your theme folder, which you can access via FTP.

Once you are all set, you can start customizing your site by editing your theme options panel or create a post or page to start publishing right away. Create a navigation menu, switch themes, activate plugins and configure your settings to make your site ready for the big time.
